Refund Protect

Optional Coverage for Ticket Buyers

Offer integrated refund protection to attendees through our partnership with Refund Protect.

What is Refund Protect

Ticketbud has integrated with Refund Protect to offer Refund Protect Enhanced, the broadest optional refund protection program available to ticket buyers. This protection now also includes Covid-19 coverage.

By integrating refund protection, Ticketbud can offer ticket purchasers enhanced terms of sale, enabling customers to request a 100% refund should they not be able to attend their event due to unforeseen circumstances that are covered by Refund Protect.

How it works

Ticket buyers can take advantage of this protection by adding the optional coverage for a small fee when purchasing tickets through Ticketbud. If a ticket purchaser believes they have a qualifying refund scenario, they just need to complete a short online refund application form. Requests are validated and processed within 48 hours, with refunds transferred directly to the ticket purchaser when approved.

Why offer Refund Protect?

This coverage helps event organizers avoid loss of income and provides your customers with one of the most generous terms of sale available from a ticketing platform.

How do I add Refund Protect?

When setting up your event you will be given the option to add Refund Protect.

Covid 19 Coverage

The new enhanced coverage widens the available refund options if a ticket holder is unable to attend an event. The new protections relevant to Covid-19 include:

  • You, or someone within your Immediate Household, have contracted Covid-19 within the 14 days immediately prior to the Booking; supported by evidence of a positive test result.
  • The hospitalization, or death, of Your Immediate Family Member due to Covid-19, within the 28 days immediately preceding the Booking; supported by a medical / death certificate.
  • A significant change in your pre-existing medical condition in the 14 days immediately prior to the Booking results in a Doctor recommending you do not Attend due to the risk of exposure to Covid-19.

Refunds are not issued where You do not Attend because You are concerned about catching Covid-19 or are self-isolating without a positive Covid-19 test, or where the Booking is cancelled.
