The Texas Cowboys are selling tickets for a BBQ Fundraiser!

One may find it surprising that those with developmental disabilities do not have the same rights to an education as those with a greater intellectual advantage.  Fortunately, the Texas Cowboys, a student organization that has played a vital role at the University of Texas, have seen the issue’s importance and are doing something about it as they raise funds at their Spring BBQ 2012!

Texas Cowboys are notably recognized as a premier men’s service organization that contributes their leadership, character, spirit on campus to the University of Texas. Because of their spirited presence, The University grants the Cowboys the privilege of firing “Smokey”, the original University of Texas cannon, at all its home football games.

The Texas Cowboy motto, “Give the best you have to Texas, and the best will come back to you” is at the heart and soul of the organization. The Cowboys live up to their motto each year at their spring fundraiser for The Arc of the Capital Area, an organization dedicated to the equality in education cause.  The Arc of the Capital Area is a steadfast nonprofit organization that is committed to promoting independence and choice by providing individualized services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
