"Starving Students Acting Company" selling tickets with Ticketbud!

most students have no ability to fight or prevent from happening, but it can’t, won’t and didn’t stop everyone. Utah high school students and thespians Felicia Anderton and Maggie Haight would not sit quietly as their theater program was taken away from them, and have taken the initiative to create their own acting troupe, void of all adult constraints and restrictions.  The entirely student run “Starving Students Acting Company” consists of, “a live band, set and lighting designers, promoters, choreographers, casting department, directors, cast and crew all under the age of 22.” The title of the troupe’s upcoming performance, “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” was enough for me to be interested, and the musical’s description was all it took for me to clear up my calendar: “This roaring, daring and deliciously raunchy musical is sure to get your feet tappin’, and your face hurtin’ from beer belly laughs. Pippi, the stripper on the run from a violent ex boyfriend enters Starke Florida’s most colorful trailer park only to fall in love with a dull married man who is experiencing marital troubles with his agoraphobic wife, Jeannie. The “greek chorus” consists of a hysterically pregnant, Pickles, fiery rock and roll fan, Lin, and boss of all the white trash community, Betty. This wild cast is sure to rock your world.” The group is selling tickets online for the musical here, using Ticketbud.  Get a spot before they sell out!]]]]> ]]>
