What is TEDx? The x stands for “Independently Organized TED Event.”  Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.

Ticketbud has always been an engine for any events and gathering at a local level, and we believe the grassroots people, causes, fundraisers, and events not only define communities and cultures, but has a larger influence on the grand scale. Recently their was a TEDx event at the University of Denver using Ticketbud. TEDxWomen streamed live from the Paley Centers in New York and Los Angeles to the world, through the global TEDx community. Organizers of TEDxWomen events watched the livestream of TEDxWomen from the Paley theaters and hosted local speakers on women’s issues, and collaborate via Skype and social media. TEDxCrestmoorPark was selected to host an event as part of the TEDxWomen community which was branded TEDxCrestmoorParkWomen: Breaking Boundaries, Building Community. In the same vein as the successful TEDxCrestmoorPark; TEDxCrestmoorParkWomen shared new stories, new ideas and engaging commentary by women and about women. The speakers and entertainers at the event engaged, elevated and empowered each other to push the envelope on their goals. Have you ever watched a TED video?  We highly suggest going to their amazing website or downloading the smart phone app to begin feeding your brain and body with content that we feel all humans should imbibe. We will keep you updated as more local TED events use Ticketbud to sell tickets online for their gatherings that discuss how to push the human race forward and actively think about the world around us.
