The event was a huge success and sold over 850 bbq plate tickets! The plate sales from the annual Spring BBQ benefit The Arc of the Capital Area. The Cowboys’ utmost goal is to provide service to the University, our surrounding community, and the great state of Texas.  The Arc is a nonprofit organization founded in 1949 to support children with mental disabilities.  For the past 60 years, The Arc has played an essential role in addressing the issues that affect individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. [caption id="attachment_2039" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Scanning Tickets via Ticketbud iPhone app"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_2040" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Good to Go!"][/caption]             Students were impressed with the innovative approach to online ticket sales used by the service group.  One of the Cowboys, named Stephen Hopkins, told us, “This is the highest amount of plates we have ever sold at this event!”.  They also utilized the Guest Check-In feature for those who happen to forget their printed tickets or on-screen tickets on their smart phones.
