Want to experience the festivities of Oktoberfest without the hassle of packing and traveling to the crowded streets of Munich?   Look no further!  The German-Texan Heritage Society is hosting Austin's only authentic German Oktoberfest on October 22nd from 12pm-6pm at the historic German Free School.  Complete with traditional German music, mouth-watering sausages and strudels, and, of course, a great selection of German beer, this Texas version of Oktoberfest promises a unique experience unlike anything this side of Bavaria. The event includes family fun activities including a Moonwalk, face painting, and arts & crafts for the little ones and children under 12 are FREE with an adult.  Single tickets for adults are $10 and a two-ticket package is available for $15.  The German-Texan Heritage Society is selling tickets online for this exciting event at the Oktoberfest Ticketbud event page.
