With the fun of Halloween days away and the joyful festivities of Thanksgiving around the corner, it easy to forget about those who are less fortunate and the causes that continue to support them.  Thankfully, the Hispanic Health Professions Organization, Hook the Cure, Texas Latin Dance, and the Hispanic Student Association and League of United Latin American Citizens at the University of Texas at Austin are keeping the awareness as they announce the 6th Annual Diabetes Awareness Week from October 31st to November 5th! One special event taking place over the Awareness Week, which includes a Kick-Off Rally as well as a Diabetes Expert Panel, is the Step Up to Diabetes Benefit Dinner.   Tickets for this event include a full serving of delicious food and tasty drinks and can be purchased online through the Step Up to Diabetes Benefit Dinner event page.  Proceeds generated from this dinner and from all events over the course of the week will be on behalf of the American Diabetes Association.
