Meet Country Star Chuck Wicks: From Potato Farm To Nashville Stardom

Few could guess that Chuck Wicks' upbringing on his family's potato farm would eventually lead him to country music stardom, but with a charm and sweet singing voice like his, it is not surprising. In 2002, Wicks quit his college career at Florida Southern University only two credits short of completion in order to pursue his newfound singing aspirations. The now country star's talent quickly caught fire and was noticed by RCA Records in 2007. His debut album with RCA Records, Starting Now, is lined with the same golden charm that helped him originally gain popularity.

The song that  University of Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer said "hit [him] like a ton of bricks," is Wicks' chart-topping single, Stealing Cinderella. The video for this single is displayed below.  If you hadn't heard of him before, watching this video will assure your status as a fan of Chuck Wick's incredible talent. Lucky for all new and old fans, Wicks is hosting The Chuck Wicks 2012 Music Fest Fan Club Party on June 10. This will give his fans a chance to not only meet the artist, but also to take home a signed photograph. In addition, attendees will experience a live acoustic performance featuring the artist's heart-spoken lyrics. Attendees will start their day at 8:30 and leave the event at noon. The meet and greet will be appropriately located in Nashville, Tennessee , the city that is both boasting with country talent and the current home to Chuck Wicks himself. Although VIP tickets which include all of the previously mentioned goodies as well as a full sized breakfast are sold out, the chance to meet the man behind the treasured lyrics is still available. Despite his busy schedule, Wicks is taking out time to appreciate the people that support his passion and  Ticketbud is excited to provide event ticketing for such a cool event. While tickets have already sold out for this awesome event, a waiting list is currently in place on Facebook! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KHAaRxyuQk

The Art of Selling Tickets: How to Maximize Your Ticket Sales

Sell your tickets online easily and cost-effectively Selling tickets online using event ticketing can be easy![/caption] Tickets, Tickets, Tickets… to your favorite musician’s concert, a charity fundraiser or a new play! While you may be interested in purchasing these tickets, there's always a hint of hesitation before clicking "Purchase".  Event planners realize the implications ticket sales have on their buyers.  While tickets to an event have the potential to sell out, a lot of factors weigh in once the actual tickets go on sale. In an essence, buyers need to be given incentives in order for them to commit to buying their tickets.  With added modifications, event planners may just be a few steps away from significantly increasing their revenue.   Go Big and Go Home Sometimes the success rate of ticket sales has very little to do with its quantity of public exposure. People are more inclined to attend events that yield some degree of desirability. The common misconception that event planners have is that just because they make an event, people will want to attend automatically. It doesn't necessarily pan out this way. People will only succumb to buying tickets if the event draws to their interests.  It is important to be wary of sale outcomes when testing out new events. Good Marketing Drives Sales An aesthetically and visually striking campaign can substantially improve ticket sales. In the course of an event, marketing has a tremendous impact on convincing people to buy or not buy. Everything from the layout of the website to flyers counts! Event planners should invest in a marketing specialist who has a successful portfolio to ensure a quality campaign. [caption id="attachment_7294" align="alignright" width="223"]Selling tickets online with event ticketing can be cost-effective How much can you save selling online tickets using event ticketing? A LOT![/caption]   Discounts You Simply Cannot Deny In order to monumentally increase ticket sales, event planners need to give people offers they simply cannot deny. Too often, event planners resort to the hard sell pitch of pushing a “BUY NOW” option on event websites. While this may catch some people’s attention, it remains short of longevity. A more effective strategy event planners should utilize is to discount tickets. This is not only an effective way of grabbing the target buyer’s attention, but it will leave them no choice but to buy ASAP! Get More Money by Selling Less While this idea appears contradictory, it really isn’t. Rather than honing all your efforts to selling all general admission tickets, why not advocate the sale of VIP or premium tickets? These tickets are typically limited and offer special promotions. By catering your focus to selling these tickets, you will generate more revenue by selling less. You’d be surprised at the number of people who would commit to buying a VIP seating. Buyers may find that the benefits of spending a little extra can guarantee an enhanced experience.   Ticketbud, your friendly neighborhood online ticketing company, values the art of selling tickets as well as enhancing buyers’ appreciation for events. With the innovative option of selling tickets online, people can easily access their resources with a click of a button. We encourage you to utilize our online event ticketing resources when selling tickets for all your future events!]]]]> ]]>

How to Use Pinterest to Sell Tickets to Your Event!

online event ticketing[/caption] Pinterest has experienced exponential growth in the past year. With the clutter and craziness of other social media sites, Pinterest allows you to “pin” your favorite things into separate “boards.” Because of its visual appeal and collaborative nature, Pinterest is a perfect site that companies can utilize in order to better brand themselves.  With a user base that ranges from President Obama to Yoko Ono and topics that array from fashion to infographics, the possibilities of Pinterest are endless. So how do you use this massive social media forum to create a relationship with your audience? Whether you’re a Fortune 500 company or a local startup like Ticketbud, there are some things you should keep in mind before pinning away. Here are some important tips in order to successfully jumpstart your company on Pinterest.   [caption id="" align="alignleft" width="191" caption="Pinterest Infographics"]using pinterest for event ticketing[/caption]   1. Personify your brand and events In everything you do (uploading, repinning, liking, following), keep your company’s brand image in mind. While you’re representing your company on Pinterest, become your brand. Think like your brand. Act like your brand. Separate your personal Pinterest account from your company’s, and remember that every action affects your company’s reputation. With such a visually stimulating and collaborative social media site, this is a chance for your company to be personable and show people the dynamics of your brand. Use this power to the fullest, and build a personality that will resonate with users. If you have an upcoming event, create a board to promote that event. Create and follow a common theme to unify the board and get people talking about it. 2. Be relevant. Post, like, and repin things that make sense for your company’s mission, products, services, or personality. For example, if you create a board about your upcoming concert event, post pictures related to your artist, music genre, or venue. Although tempting, it may not make much sense to post that cute picture of a corgi on a skateboard. Unless that corgi on a skateboard is also playing an electric guitar. Build your boards with relevance and image in mind. 3. Do your research. A good chunk of Pinterest users are 18 to 34-year-old upper income women. Although this may not be the target demographic of your company or event, cater your posts to the majority of Pinterest users. Know who you’re talking to, and who you want to reach. Once you get a good amount of followers, research the type of people they are: what they do, what they like, what they pin and don’t pin. People also tend to spend a short amount of time on Pinterest compared to other social media sites, and an even shorter amount of time on each pin or board. Make sure you’re catering to your demographics and their behaviors. 4. Make it shareable. With Pinterest being so visual by nature, no one will click on your post or follow your boards if your pins are ordinary. Especially when you're promoting events online and trying to sell tickets, pin things that people will want to share with their friends. This will create more buzz and get the word out there for your event in a fun and interactive way. Pinterest is all about creating a fantasy world, and that means one with lots of colorful, quality photos. You want users to follow your company's account and repin your posts, all while making an impression. Grainy or hard-to-look-at photos won't cut it. Catch their eyes first, then catch their attention to share your company’s message. 5. Make it appealing Besides making the photos you pin appealing, make the words appealing as well. Draw followers in with catchy board names and pin captions. The key is to be clever but quick. Stand out amongst the millions of other boards by offering something unique. While promoting events, make your boards and pins stand out. And remember, let your personality shine through everything you do.   Ticketbud is an online ticketing service that lets organizations and companies host events for one flat fee. As a company that values social media and audience interaction Ticketbud has recently created a presence on Pinterest. Look out for our latest boards on tasty treats for your functions, fashion trends for our favorite events, favorite spots in Austin, and more!   Happy pinning!   Article inspiration courtesy of: http://www.inc.com/john-brandon/9-tips-boost-your-business-pinterest.html]]]]> ]]>

'Ticketbud Tips': Start Targeting with Content Marketing!

As our generation progresses towards a technologically improved arena, the bulk of marketing is typically catered online via social media portals. However, it is still pertinent to take consideration of the opportunities traditional marketing can do for brands and agencies. Underestimating the power of this would be a mistake. The general audience markets their attention towards inventive and artistic marketing campaigns. So, why give them anything short of this? Find a Design, One of a Kind When it comes to marketing, the foreground and background matter just as much if not more. The ability to provide compelling and aesthetic graphics shapes your consumers’ future investments with the company’s products. Content generation is an imperative one to consider, as its initial proficiency to grab attention can yield a concrete impression. Multimedia Encyclopedia Photos, songs and marquee effects are resources for further advancement with product promotions. You typically have a lot of freedom when it comes to what you can do with designing a campaign or even when it comes to testing out the general marketing sphere. Creating a media-savvy website can become the link to millions of subscribers and potential consumers. Hard Sell, No Sell

While the bulk of marketing efforts reside with increasing sales, content marketing focuses on a more intuitive level of conveying product assessment for their consumers. This is a way for consumers to really understand the value of the products they are going to buy. By creating a threshold of information readily online, educated consumers retain information longer.

User-Friendly, Product-Friendly

Content generation utilizes several adaptive components, one of which is the integration of consumer or user-oriented tidbits. It is important to retain constructive professionalism to drive the overall brand/product; however the incorporation of user-friendly tips, tricks and even suggestive feedback on a forum can increase product usage. Consumers are more likely to believe testimonies from other consumers if there is a sense of commonality.

Consume to Resume Keeping your consumers wanting more may not necessarily be the best approach. Consumers more often forget or lose interest to buy more products. Therefore, the best time to engage consumers is when they are already in a state of “buying”. By providing accessible links to new products on the side scroll and advertisements from left to right; this will grab hold of the consumer’s attention span for the short duration of time they are on the website. Sharing is Caring As we all know, social media generates millions and millions of fans worldwide. For this reason, marketing should provide links to their Facebook, Twitter, and Google pages. With the development of the “like” feature on Facebook and the enhanced ability to “share” links via these websites, the efforts to increase product notability are boundless. Offline, Online  Creating a fusion of online and offline activities will profit you in the long-run. While an online façade remains vital, reaching outside of the online community is much more impressive. By teaming up with community opportunities such as sporting events and televised announcements, content marketing is truly brought to life. Not only do products receive grand exposure, but the target demographic increases with new prospective consumers. There are several ways to increase content marketing. If you find one method lacking, try a new one. Ticketbud encourages you to use effective marketing and is here to assist you with any event ticketing sells to sell tickets online. With the amount of social media websites out there, it is important to check out every opportunity that arises. Ticketbud is social media friendly, so find us on our Facebook! Social Media: What Lies Ahead for Event Planners

Location is Key The expansive nature of social media generates numerous ways for people to utilize their surroundings via their smartphones. Everything from the process of checking-in on Facebook to Foursquare amounts to some degree of recognition, serving as a didactic reference to your friends and co-workers of the latest “hot spots”.  Event planners need to acquaint themselves with this holistically and potentially draw further incentives to cater to their pool of attendees at these localized events. Think Outside the Box When putting on an event, it is imperative to be creative.  Thinking outside of the box requires you to venture ideas that have not been done before. While the possibilities are limitless, our generation has taken tolls to integrate social media into everything we do.  Event planners can find innovative ways to entice participants by creating video logs, conducting raffle contests and humoring the crowd with tasteful guest appearances. There is hope that in the future, people will be able to naturally take advantage of a variety of social media resources to create an integrative network of communication from the beginning to end of an event. Tweet Tweet One can never doubt the power of Twitter. Its existence since the millennium has soared and some can argue that it might even give Facebook a run for its money.  Twitter’s easily accessible news feed remains highly attractive to their users without all the fluff and unnecessary news feed that Facebook has. For this reason, event planners value the use of Twitter as a promotional gateway for people to get a serial feed of what to expect at an event before it event happens.  While many companies resort to using it for product promotion and marketing, a great majority of people typically use it on the basis of relationship building. In the course of hosting an event, the smart thing to do is to incorporate “shout outs” to other companies supporting or partnering the event. Set Yourself Apart While the measures for success and turnout in any event are crucial to consider; the event planner themselves have to establish a sense of identity to garner future prospective clients.  Optimizing full use of their resources, event planners should establish a relatively updated website including past events planned, testimonies and an aesthetically pleasing foundation. This will not only boost clientele but set a solid status within your networking community. Ticketbud wishes you the best of luck with planning  for your future events and invites you to consider us when using online ticketing to sell tickets online for your event.  The pool of social media outlets are constantly changing, all the while the opportunities to expand are limitless.
