The Perfect PowerPoint Presentation
There are many ways to do this, but in an increasingly digital world, the computer has become an organizers best friend and greatest asset. One of the simplest and most effective tools to present your cause to your many guests is PowerPoint. Creating a PowerPoint presentation can be easy and the results can be entertaining and informative but, like any art, it requires an understanding of not only the PowerPoint program but your audience as well. Here are a couple of tips to help you create the perfect PowerPoint presentation:
1. While you may have a lot of information to present, you don't need to put it all on every slide. Slides should have no more than 4-5 bullet points max and should never tell the "full story"; that, as the presenter, is your job.
2. Graphics are a presenters best friend. They helps attract the attention of the crowd and diversify your presentation. However, when using graphics such as pictures and videos, there is such thing as too much. Make sure your graphics are concise and explain your points without distracting from your delivery.
3. In a similar vein, when crafting your presentation, be sure to use a template that is eye-catching but not overly flashy. Remember-your template reflects your event, so choose accordingly.
4. Try to keep your presentation under 20 slides. No matter how amazing your presentation may be, your guests will eventually get bored so it is key to respect their attention spans and do the most you can within a set amount of time or slides.
5. Your presentation should have a logical flow and progression. A good template to use is:
- a. Use the first slide for basic info. about yourself, your company, etc.
- b. Then briefly detail what you are going to present
- c. Start with your company or cause and its history but keep it at or under 5 slides
- d. Now begin the heart of presentation. Graphs, statistics, pictures, etc are strong visual aids
- e. In your final slides, summarize your presentation and add a conclusion. This should take no more than 5 slides.

In the end, a PowerPoint presentation is only as strong as the person presenting it so remember to be calm and confident. You've already made the wise decision to leave the selling tickets task to Ticketbud, which lets you sell your tickets online without the per-ticket fees and red tape. Now take that saved time to think out your presentation and take a deep breath to promote your cause!
